The inventive director and animateur Yuval Sharon is taking up a three-year appointment with the LA Phil.... Vivien Schweitzer profiles Annie Gosfield for the New York Times.... Sharp thoughts on that Yale jazz matter from Matthew Guerrieri, in NewMusicBox, and from Ethan Iverson, who gives a surprise cameo to Harold Shapero.
