I went looking for word on the "new" edition of Porgy and Bess, which played over the weekend at the Nashville Symphony. No review seems yet to have appeared, but the somewhat arduous process of locating classical coverage on The Tennessean's web pages led me to a conceptual breakthrough: these days, newspapers and magazines tend to put classical music under the rubric Culture or Arts, and seldom under Music. For example, if you want to find Justin Davidson, Russell Platt, or Marion Lignana Rosenberg's reviews for Newsday, you go not to the Music page but to the Arts page. Or, if you are looking for classical reviews on the Times of London site, you go not to Music but to First Night Reviews.... Kurt Hemr adds: "Just be glad you don't have to look under Death Notices."... Here's a review by Bill Levine in the Nashville Scene. It is found under ... Music!
