One sign of incipient grandiosity and degeneration in the blogging world is when "guest bloggers" start popping up on the pages of what had been an unpretentious one-person operation. We at Noise Plaza are now no exception, but the inexorable downward spiral will be retarded by the excellence of the guest. Justin Davidson, Pulitzer-Prize-winning music and architecture critic at New York Newsday, takes over for a week or two or maybe longer. His stint here may lead to a blog of his own, unless he comes to his senses. I'll be off dealing with my book situation as well as doing my actual job. Happy Mozart day!
